THOMASTON, Ga. — A shooting at a middle Georgia graduation party early Saturday morning has left one teenager dead and two others injured.
According to police, officers were called to the Main Event at Park Lane in reference to three people being shot just before 1 a.m.

Police say at least 200 people, most of whom were juveniles, were at the graduation party when the shooting happened.
Akeem Ellison, 18, of Manchester, was taken to Upson Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
A second teenager, a 17-year-old from Manchester, was airlifted to a hospital for treatment. A 15-year-old from Thomaston was also taken to the hospital for treatment. Neither of the current conditions are unknown.

Investigators say they believe the shooting stemmed from a fight inside the event center.
Police have not released any details on possible suspects.

This is the second shooting at a graduation party in Georgia in a week.
Last Saturday, a small graduation party ended in a shootout on a Fayette County street. Twenty-five people were invited and nearly 200 showed up. The party ended when at least 50 shots were fired, injuring two people.
