DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police have identified the teenage girl killed during a road rage incident.

Police told Channel 2's Tyisha Fernandes that everyone in the victim's car was related.
The car was sitting at a red light at the intersection of South Candler Street and Midway Road. Police said the mother was driving with her 17-year-old daughter was sitting in the front seat and another relative sitting in the back.
The daughter has been identified as Janae Owens.
No arrests have been made.

"I’m just lost for words for it to be this close to...it was really close," said Pat Washington, who witnessed she shooting.
Washington said she heard three gunshots outside her family’s home Wednesday night. She said she could tell that the shooter was very close to the house.
"Your first instinct is to go help, that’s what you want to do is help but it was mass confusion and my daughter right away called the police," Washington said.
Police said there was a road rage incident involving the woman driving this maroon car – and a man driving a black Chrysler.
Owens' family had just moved to metro Atlanta from Shreveport, Louisiana and they thought Georgia would provide a better life for them.
The family is now busy making funeral arrangements for Owens while her mother recovers from her injuries..

"It was 5:48 p.m. on South Candler Street. It’s a busy road. People were out driving around. If you saw anything, anything at all, please call us. We need the public's help on figuring out who this is," said Sgt. John Bender with the Decatur Police Department.
