ATLANTA — Atlanta rappers Killer Mike and T.I. are collaborating with PAWkids to assist with food insecurity in Atlanta.
The pair went to the Bankhead Seafood parking lot Wednesday afternoon to serve food to 500 Atlanta people and offer $500 in cash per household to several families.
PAWkids, a family enrichment center founded and run by Latonya Gates, serves Atlanta’s Grovepark community.
The food is being provided by Mercedes-Benz, which partners with PAWkids to bring 1,000 meals weekly for families in need.
In addition to distributing the food at Bankhead Seafood, Killer Mike (aka Michael Render) and T.I. (aka Tip Harris), also went to different families’ homes to surprise them with food and hygiene products.
