OCONEE COUNTY, Ga. — A freshman University of Georgia football player was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
According to arrest records obtained by Channel 2 Action News, 19-year-old De’Nylon Morrissette of Stone Mountain was arrested by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Monday night.

Morrissette is a freshman wide receiver on the football team.
The circumstances surrounding his arrest have not been released.

In addition to driving under the influence, Morrissette was charged with speeding and following too closely.
According to his bio, Morrissette attended North Cobb High School before UGA.
Channel 2 Action News reached out to UGA Athletics for a statement but has not yet received a response.
