Cross-dressing UGA professor charged with prostitution

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Police say they have arrested a University of Georgia professor on prostitution charges in Gwinnett County.

German professor Max Reinhart, 65, was booked in the Gwinnett County jail just after noon on Thursday. He is charged with prostitution. Reinhart was also charged with running a house of prostitution because investigators said he was soliciting people for himself.

Police said detectives located an ad in the transsexual escort services section of a website under the name "Sasha." Detectives arranged a meeting and came to an agreement with Max Reinhart for payment of "services," police said.

Reinhart, 65, was booked in the Gwinnett County jail just after noon on Thursday.

Reinhart was released around 9:15 p.m. Thursday on $4,800 bond, jail records indicate.

Reinhart is a German professor at UGA.
