SWAINSBORO, Ga. — An 18-year-old University of Georgia student has been charged with murder after police say he crashed into a Taco Bell and killed a woman inside.
According to Swainsboro police Chief Randy Ellison, Oliver Baylen Cope is also facing four counts of aggravated assault and criminal damage to property.
Investigators said Cope's Dodge Challenger crashed into the restaurant's dining area Sept. 28.
Several people were taken to a hospital after the crash. Macy Lynn Mullis, 23, died as result of the crash.

According to her obituary, Mullis worked as a corrections officer for the Georgia prison system and attended Swainsboro Technical College.
UGA spokesman Bob Taylor said Cope, from Statesboro, enrolled at the university as a biology major. It’s unclear if he’s still registered.
Police said the crash remains under investigation.
