LAURENS COUNTY — The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a crash that left an unborn child dead.
The crash happened Saturday on Highway 19 in Laurens County. A total of 13 people were injured and an unborn child killed, WGXA reports.

GSP said a Ford van with 13 passengers missed a turn into a gas station and tried to turn around by making a U-turn.
As it was turning, GSP said a dump truck hit the van.

All 13 passengers in the van were taken to area hospitals. Three of those people had to be airlifted.
A female passenger was pregnant and suffered serious injuries. Her baby was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the dump truck had non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation into the crash continues.
