CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Vice President JD Vance will be in metro Atlanta on Wednesday. He’s expected to meet with supporters at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Vance’s visit comes with early voting underway in Georgia for the 2026 general election and midterms. President Donald Trump is going to campaign in Dalton on Friday.
The Republican base is throwing their support behind Rick Jackson, who’s running for governor against Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms, and Rep. Mike Collins, who’s running against Sen. Jon Ossoff.
Ossoff early voted on Tuesday and Bottoms says she will cast her vote early this week as well.
We’ll have live coverage of today’s campaign events, on Channel 2 Action News starting at 4:00 p.m.
