GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County police are sharing the sweet interaction between two officers and a mother who wanted to celebrate her child’s first birthday.
Gwinnett police tweeted Wednesday that during a random audit of police body camera videos, a supervisor found the Jan. 10 interaction.
The video shows Sgt. Nick Boney, Officer Jimmy Wilson and a woman whose daughter was turning 1 year old.
The woman was holding a bouquet of balloons trying to get home to her family on a cold night.
What happened next will warm your heart.
The officers not only gave the mother a ride home but got the woman a cake for her child and stopped in for hugs and to say “happy birthday” to the child.
