Villa Rica police officer joins game of hide-and-seek

VILLA RICA, Ga. — A Villa Rica Police Department officer was asked to join in on a game of hide-and-seek and said yes!

Officer Jacob Brown was patrolling Kristin Morris' neighborhood Saturday night when her husband asked if he wanted to join in on the fun.

"The kids and I had a blast," Morris said. "Officer Brown is awesome and a great sport."

Channel 2 Action News reached out to the Villa Rica Police Department and received the following statement from Chief Michael P. Mansour:

"Our department and its officers are very community oriented and this is another example of how our officers relate to the community.  Cpl. Brown is a shining example of the kind of officers we like to employ.  He is definitely one of the most well-liked and respected officers in our department.  I can forward this to Jacob but he is very humble and probably will not get want to speak on camera.  He was honored recently at a City Council meeting for saving a life also."

The family tells Channel 2 Action News they are already planning their next game.
