POLK COUNTY, Ga. — Law enforcement is warning shoppers about counterfeit money floating around North Georgia.

Cedartown police say people are trying to pass off movie-prop money as the real thing.
The top of the fake bill reads, “FOR MOTION PICTURE USE ONLY.”
Investigators say that not everyone is using the counterfeit money intentionally. Some have no idea that the money isn’t real.

However, if a person attempts to purchase items with the fake bill, they could face charges of forgery.
Police are asking shoppers to pay close attention.
