Watch two timber rattlesnakes fight on a Georgia trail

PRESTON, Ga. — A fight between two timber rattlesnakes was caught on camera by a wildlife technician.

A wildlife technician with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources was inspecting hunter access trails for hindrance on Lanahassee Wildlife Management Area when two snakes caught his eye.

In the video, you can see the two timber rattlesnakes going head to head with each other.

The department says the snakes were fighting over who deserves the female snake nearby.

The serpents are found throughout the entire state of Georgia.

Georgia Wildlife says the timber rattlesnake is a large and commonly encountered snake.

However, they are rather shy and look to avoid development and interaction as much as possible.
