ATLANTA — U.S. News and World Report has issued its annual list of the best schools in each state.
The website compiles data from nearly 24,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. The report looks at traditional high schools as well as charter, magnet and STEM-focused schools.

Schools are ranked based on students’ college readiness, their proficiency on state assessments, how well underserved students performed, the breadth of college curriculum each school offers and the graduation rate.
So what are some of the best Georgia high schools?
