ATLANTA — As the vaccine supply continues to grow, Georgia is doubling the amount of mass COVID-19 vaccination sites across the state.
Officials opened four mass sites on Feb. 22 at the Delta Air Museum, Macon Farmers Market, Albany Georgia Forestry Site and Habersham County Fairgrounds.
Five more locations opened on March 17 in Bartow County, Muscogee County, Washington County, Chatham County and Ware County.

The Georgia Emergency Management Agency and Georgia National Guard are assisting with the drive-up sites. How does the process work at these sites? Here’s everything you need to know.

HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
Appointments can be made on the state’s My Vaccine Georgia website here.
Those who are eligible can pre-register for the vaccine. GEMA officials say to make sure you arrive on time for your appointment, not too early or late.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE AND HOW MANY DOSES ARE THERE?
Starting March 25, all Georgians 16 and older will be eligible for the vaccine.
People over 65 and their caregivers, residents and staff of long-term care facilities, healthcare personnel and law enforcement, firefighters, EMS and 911 operators became eligible in January.
Teachers and school staff, parents of sick children and adults with developmental disabilities and their care givers became eligible on March 8.
People 55 and over, pregnant women and people with serious health conditions became eligible on March 15. The serious conditions include: Asthma, cancer, cerebrovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, COPD, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, hypertension, heart conditions, immunocompromised state, liver disease, neurologic conditions (Dementia, ALS, Parkinson’s), overweight and obesity (BMI > 25 kg), pulmonary fibrosis, Sickle Cell disease, thalassemia
The state’s mass vaccination program will have the capacity to administer 45,000 doses weekly between the sites throughout the state.
The new site at Mercedes-Benz Stadium will have the capacity to administer 6,000 shots a day, or 42,000 shots a week. The site will operate seven days a week for an eight-week period.
