Tracking rain: Showers tonight, very wet weekend ahead

ATLANTA — Heavy rain and storms have moved out of the metro area, but wet weather will affect much of the area this weekend into next week.

Showers will diminish throughout Friday night, but isolated showers will return Saturday morning.

Severe Weather Team 2 meteorologist Brian Monahan said temperatures over the weekend will generally be in the upper 70s and 80s.

Severe Weather Team 2 is using the most powerful weather technology to track the rain and storms throughout the weekend on Channel 2 Action News.

Up to 4 inches of rain are possible by Wednesday.

The rain will keep temperatures mild for the next several days.
