ATLANTA — Atlanta police have charged a 69-year-old woman after they say she pushed another woman in front of a car.
Gloria Franklin, 69, faces aggravated battery charge for the incident in the parking garage of Piedmont Hospital in Midtown.

Atlanta police and fire were called out to the garage around 10 a.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, they found an elderly woman trapped underneath a car.
Firefighters had to use a jack to lift the car and pull the victim out.

Atlanta police investigators said Franklin and the victim got into an argument when Franklin decided to push her in front of the car. It is unknown what the argument was about or if the two knew each other.
Officials have not released the victim’s name, but said she remains in serious condition.
The driver who hit her remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
