LAFAYETTE, Ga. — A woman has died after an apartment building in north Georgia caught fire on Saturday night.
LaFayette firefighters were called to the Carriage Hill Apartments on Campbell Ave. at 11:15 p.m.

The apartment building was heavily involved in flames when crews arrived.
One woman was killed during the fire. Her identity has not yet been released.

No one else was injured, but it’s unclear if anyone was displaced from their homes.
The state fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
