GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Police have arrested a man accused of shooting a woman to death at a Gwinnett County home Monday.
Gwinnett County police responded Prospect Church Road in Lawrenceville around 4:30 a.m. in reference to a person shot call. When officers arrived, they found a woman dead from a gunshot wound inside the home.

Police and SWAT later arrested 31-year-old Ray Charles Evans and charged him with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
The victim was identified as 29-year-old Shakiyla Sample.
This is third homicide that Gwinnett police have been called to investigate since Sunday morning.
Police first responded around 2 a.m. at a home on Forrest Bend Lane in Snellville. Officers found a man shot to death inside the home.
An hour later, police responded to a triple shooting that killed one man and left two others injured outside a Norcross lounge.
