CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A woman was taken to a hospital after deputies said her ex-boyfriend ran her over in Cherokee County.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Brooke Mill apartments after they received a call about a person hit by a car Wednesday night.
Deputies said that Crystal Christian, 22, and her estranged boyfriend David Moore, 19, were fighting in the parking lot.
According to the sheriff’s office, Moore reportedly snatched Christian’s keys and got into her car. To stop him from taking her car, deputies said Christian jumped on the hood of the car.

Witnesses told deputies they saw Moore drive out of the parking lot with Christian holding onto the hood.
Christian was eventually thrown from the hood and run over. Moore continued driving, never stopping to check on Christian, according to deputies.
Christian suffered serious injuries and was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Her condition has not been released.
Deputies issued a lookout alert for Moore, who was later located on Trabert Avenue in Atlanta. He was taken into custody and returned to Cherokee County.
The sheriff’s office charged Moore with aggravated assault and robbery.
