Woman shot, another pistol-whipped in Conyers armed robberies

CONYERS, Ga. — Rockdale County sheriff’s investigators say the same crew robbed two different stores at gunpoint in a matter of two hours and injured two women in the process.

Deputies say they’re looking for two men involved in a violent armed robbery at the Starship Enterprises novelty and gift store on Highway 138 in Conyers Sunday night.

According to the report, the robbers shot one woman twice in her legs and pistol whipped another woman in the face.

“I have noticed an influx of things happening in the area. I’m not sure what’s going on,” said Nicole Green, who lives in the area and was alarmed when we told her the news.

As deputies were on the scene at the adult gift shop investigating that armed robbery, they got a call from a gas station about 7 miles away.

Investigators say the Quick Stop on Highway 20 in Conyers had been robbed by at least one of the same men who robbed the Starship store less than two hours prior.

In the report, a Quick Stop employee told detectives that the robber threatened to shoot her in the leg as he demanded money.

Cash was taken from both locations and the suspects had their faces covered.

Channel 2 learned this isn't the first time workers have been attacked at this Starship shop. In the summer of 2018, we showed you video of employees being beaten at gunpoint during a robbery there.
