SWAT raids house near where mother was killed

SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Detectives are collecting evidence where someone shot and killed a young mother early Wednesday morning.

Channel 2 Action News has confirmed Claynesia Ringer was found shot to death inside a car in front of a house on Ocean Valley Drive.

The woman’s family says she was going to college to be a pharmacy tech and also had a 2-year-old daughter.

“She really wanted to get out of this area and someone shooting her from the other side, for what?” said Ringer’s friend Shykil Scott.

Fulton County SWAT entered the house and found more than a pound of marijuana, an AR-15 loaded with armor piercing bullets, and what appeared to be home surveillance recording equipment.

Police searched the attic and basement of the house and did not find anyone there.

Detectives say they found .45 caliber shell casings in the front yard—the same caliber gun that was used to kill ringer. They know whoever fired the gun shot from the bottom of the front steps.

They also found car keys to a green Jeep that was parked in front of the home.

Friends and family do not know why Ringer was in front of their neighbor’s house so early in the morning.

“I want to know what happened. Why, why, why?” said Ringer’s aunt Teresa Fletcher.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the case.
