A worker was hit and killed during a forklift accident at the Hyundai MOBIS plant in west Georgia Wednesday night, according to the LaGrange Daily News.

Keith Wheeler, 62, was driving a stand-up forklift when the Troup County Coroner says he may have backed into a shelf and got pinned.
Wheeler was found trapped between a large shelf and a stand-up forklift with no pulse and not breathing.
He was taken to the emergency room, where he died.

Workers told Channel 2 Action News that they were told about Wheeler’s death during a safety meeting Thursday morning.

OSHA and the Troup County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the accident.
Wheeler’s body is being sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for autopsy.
The Troup County Sheriff’s Office said Wheeler’s death appears to be a tragic accident.
