It happened Feb. 1 around 9:30 p.m. at the Shell Gas and Food Mart on Old National Highway and Godby Road. College Park Police say George was shot multiple times as he approached the car he arrived at the gas station in. The car then left the scene.

Jaden’s mother wants the gunman caught and put away.

“Who are you to take somebody? That was my son,” she said, speaking to the killer. “We wanted him. He was valuable to us.”

She still can’t believe her son is gone, yet another victim of gun violence.

College Park Police would only confirm the gunman who shot her son was in the car he arrived in. Officers later located the car at a nearby hotel. Police say they questioned the man who got out of it and others who may be involved, but no arrests have been made.

“They need to find who killed my son. Because this ain’t right,” George said.

George says her son had a heart of gold, but was too trusting.

“I told him that. People are gonna try and be your friend,” she said.

She feels like police aren’t doing enough to solve this case, so she started her own investigation. She went to the gas station and talked to people there.

“I went to every restaurant that was on the block. Who said what? Who know what? Who heard what?” she said.

George is asking for the public’s help finding her son’s killer. She doesn’t know how she will be able to live without him.

“My son would have called me by now. My son would have said, ‘Mom. Mom. Ma, can I come over to fix something to eat?‘” she said, crying.

George was the father of a 3-year-old son. The family has set up a GoFundMe to help take care of his funeral expenses.

Police say this is an active and ongoing investigation. And they’re asking anyone with information to contact them at 4047613131. Or the College Park Tip Line at 4047688664. Or CrimeStoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
