ATLANTA — A Fulton County judge granted a motion for Young Thug that allows the Atlanta rapper to fly into and out of Atlanta’s airport.

As part of his plea and probation for the YSL trial, Young Thug is essentially banned from the Atlanta metro area with exceptions for a wedding, funeral, family emergency or the community service he must perform.

His attorneys though filed a motion earlier this week that would allow him to travel at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for “commercial air travel for business and other lawful purposes.”

Williams’ probation officer would approve of the request, according to the motion. On Tuesday, the judge granted the rapper’s request for those travel purposes only.

The rapper, whose real name is Jeffrey Williams, pleaded guilty as part of a non-negotiated plea in the YSL RICO case. As part of his sentence, Williams cannot be in the metro Atlanta area for the first 10 years of his 15-year probation.

In December, a judge modified the special conditions of Williams’ probation.

The ruling stated that if there are no violations of probation within the first three years on or before October 31, 2027, of Williams’s probation, he can visit his home in Atlanta for up to two weeks at a time, up to four times per year, non-consecutive.

He also must notify his probation officer at least five days before coming to the home, for good cause shown and for safety or privacy concerns based on his status as a known public figure.
