Man Guilty Of Stabbing, Killing Female Co-Worker

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A DeKalb County jury convicted a man of stabbing his female co-worker to death at their workplace.

Craig Armstead, 39, was found guilty for the June 2008 murder of 31-year-old Keri Harris.

Police said Harris and Armstead worked together at the Cargill Food Processing Company in Doraville.

Officials said Armstead stabbed Harris to death in her office at about 12 p.m. on June 27, 2008.

In the original indictment, Armstead was also charged with 18 counts of unlawful surveillance of Harris and other women at the Cargill plant. Police said Armstead had placed a camera inside one of the plant's restrooms to videotape Harris.

Officials said Armstead had previously pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in another case out of New Jersey. He was released after serving a five-year sentence in that case.

Armstead was sentenced to life plus an additional 65 years for all the charges.
