CLARKSTON, Ga.,None — Just two days after the family celebrated Thanksgiving together, three children witnessed their grandmother and mother being stabbed, police said. They said the mother died from her injuries.
The women were inside the mother's apartment on Montreal Road Reserve in Clarkston when they were attacked on Saturday morning, Clarkston police said. While the children watched, 24-year-old Dominique Martin was stabbed to death, and her mother, 44-year-old Ursula Peterson, was stabbed repeatedly, police said.

Martin's oldest son held his mother in his arms and called 911, police said. When officers arrived, Peterson was taken to Atlanta Medical Center, where she was in critical condition, police said.
"What kind of man would walk in a house and do that to women like that? That's a coward," the children's other grandmother, Teresa Foster, told Channel 2's George Howell.
Foster said she received the nightmarish call from police to pick up the children.
The accused stabber, Stephen Bailey, was arrested on murder and aggravated assault charges. He was taken to the DeKalb County Jail.
Police said they were still looking for a motive. Relatives said they didn't know why anyone would kill Martin. They said they had never even heard of Bailey before the attack.
"The last time I'd seen her was Thanksgiving. That's why I can't believe she's gone," Foster said, holding a picture of Martin.
