SAVANNAH, Ga,. — Country singer Luke Bryan crashed a wedding in Savannah over the weekend.
The award-winning artist was in coastal Georgia for American Idol auditions. Bryan, along with Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, are the judges on the popular music show, which returns in 2018 right here on Channel 2. Atlanta-native Ryan Seacrest will return as host.
Just down the road from the auditions in Savannah, there was a wedding reception taking place at the The Charles Morris Center.
Bryan, a Georgia-native, found out about the wedding and learned the bride and groom were big fans, so he decided to stop by.
He waited outside with a bottle of champagne as the DJ played on his popular song “Crash my Party.” Half way through -- Bryan did just that.

A viewer who was at the wedding told Channel 2 Action News that a few guests were told about the visit before it happened, but the bride and groom had no idea.
The guests cheered as Bryan walked through the door. In true Georgia fashion, he then let out a loud “Go Dawgs” and led the guests in the cheer.
Bryan then popped the champagne and danced with the bride and groom before taking selfies and pictures with the crowd.
Congratulations to the happy couple, McKenna and Austin!
