Here are the latest updates:

Update 4:47 a.m. EDT May 19: A suspect is in police custody after Salem Sabatka, 8, was found safe at a Fort Worth hotel.

According to Fort Worth police, police responded to the WoodSpring Suites in Forest Hill after two local church members saw information about the girl's kidnapping on social media and spotted the suspect's vehicle in the hotel parking lot. Officers entered the room and found Sabatka, who appeared to be in good condition. She was taken to a nearby hospital.

The suspect, a 51-year-old black man who is not related to Sabatka, is in police custody and faces a "potential charge of aggravated kidnapping," Fort Worth police Officer Buddy Calzada told reporters early Sunday. The suspect's name has not been released.

Calzada praised the community members who helped find Sabatka.

"We had citizens that went out of their way and help not just the Police Department but a family put some great closure to what we have going on right now," he said, later adding: "These guys are our heroes."
