DECATUR, Ga.,None — DeKalb County police released surveillance video on Monday afternoon of a robbery and shooting at a Church's Chicken that left one employee dead.
Police are hoping that someone will recognize the robbers in the video. Detectives told Channel 2 Action News reporter Ryan Young that tips are coming, but they need the public's help.
The shooting occurred on Saturday night at the restaurant on Flat Shoals Parkway and Wesley Chapel Road in Decatur.
The restaurant owner said there were six employees working when two armed robbers entered at about 8 p.m. Police said the two men opened fire, shooting and killing Gary Andrews. Five other employees escaped unharmed.
Police said the two robbers ran away.
The restaurant owner told Young that he's "heartbroken" and wants the gunmen caught.
Investigators searched the restaurant while employees and family members consoled each other outside.
