FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. — Floyd County officials have fired their elections chief after thousands of uncounted ballots were found during Georgia’s audit process last week.
Channel 2′s Justin Gray learned Thursday that Chief Clerk of Elections Robert Brady has been terminated.

Earlier this week the Secretary of State’s office asked Brady to step down.

Election workers found 2,600 missing ballots from a batch of early votes. Officials said the card with those ballots were not put through.
Those ballots changed the margin in the state by about 800 votes in President Donald Trump’s favor, according to Gabriel Sterling from the Secretary of State’s office.
President-elect Biden is still in the lead in Georgia by more than 12,000 votes.
