SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Authorities identified Thursday the 9-year-old Sheboygan, Wisconsin, boy killed in a crash with a city garbage truck while on his way to school Wednesday morning.
Roman Martin, en route to St. Paul Lutheran School, was riding his bike when a garbage truck driven by a city employee struck him, The Sheboygan Press reported.
Police confirmed the truck that struck Roman was driven by an unidentified 35-year-old employee, who had worked for the city for about two years, the newspaper reported.
According to WDJT, two of Roman's siblings, 10-year-old Ben and 11-year-old Natalie, were among three children killed three years ago in a house fire.
