"When the sun sets in Gatlinburg, the magical Christmas lights of the SkyLift Park will illuminate the town," park officials wrote on Facebook.

The bridge, which is 140 feet above the ground at its highest point, opened May 17, the Knoxville News Sentinel reported.

"From Christmas trees to carolers and all of the bright lights in between, downtown Gatlinburg is a bucket list destination for thousands each winter, and we're thrilled for the SkyBridge to join the stunning skyline this season," SkyLift manager Randy Watson told WATE-TV. "Near and far, we want to excite guests with our newest traditions and ensure they make the best holiday memories with their families year after year."

SkyLift Park officials unfurled a massive American flag over the bridge's rail to celebrate Veterans Day.

Guests who come to the Lights over Gatlinburg display with a new, packaged toy to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains will receive $4 off the $23.95 adult admission price until Dec. 16, park officials said.

Tickets are available at the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park ticket office or online at gatlinburgskylift.com/lights.
