CASS COUNTY, Ind. — Officials at an Indiana animal shelter are trying to find out who left three boxes of cats and kittens outside their shelter Tuesday in boxes that were sealed by duct tape, WTHR reported.
The Cass County Humane Society posted on Facebook, writing that the felines were found in the sealed boxes outside the shelter, which was open at the time. Temperatures were warm, shelter officials said.
"These three boxes of cats were quickly dumped right outside of our door just out of our sight," Humane Society officials posted on Facebook. "They are all scared, very hot and panting."
The boxes contained kittens and adults, according to the Humane Society
The animals were treated and have been put up for adoption, WTHR reported.
