Less than a month after filing for bankruptcy and announcing it would be closing its stores, fast-fashion mall retailer Charlotte Russe is relaunching and reopening 100 locations.
Charlotte Russe Holdings Corp. and its subsidiaries announced in a news release that they successfully sold the brand and intellectual properties to YM Inc., a North American fashion house.
"We are very excited Charlotte Russe will be joining the portfolio of brands at YM. This acquisition marries a beloved brand with a sophisticated retail platform and provides Charlotte Russe a path to grow in the future," Dayna Quanbeck, interim CEO of Charlotte Russe, said in a statement. "We thank our loyal customers and employees for sticking by us through the past several months."
Charlotte Russe's social media pages and its website tease a brand-new online shopping experience. The online store initially closed soon after it was announced that the company filed for bankruptcy.
