The company that produces Chewy Chips Ahoy has announced a recall of the chocolate chip cookies.
Mondelez Global LLC has recalled some 13 oz. packages of the Chewy Chips Ahoy because of an unexpected solidified agent that has had some adverse health effects, according to a company press release.

The cookies were sold at retailers nationwide.
Packages under the recall all have UPC 0 44000 03223 4 and have the following best used by dates:
- 07SEP2019.
- 08SEP2019.
- 14SEP2019.
- 15SEP2019.
