STUTTGART, Germany — Simone Biles stood alone among all gymnasts Sunday as she turned in a record-breaking performance at the 2019 world championships in Germany.
Biles, 22, the reigning Olympic all-around champion and a five-time world all-around champion, notched the 24th world championships medal of her storied career, winning the balance beam Sunday, according to the BBC. That snapped the record she held briefly with Vitaly Scherbo of Belarus. Biles earned the 23rd world championships medal of her career Saturday.
