PITTSBURGH — A large, unlikely visitor was captured in downtown Pittsburgh Wednesday after the 200-pound bear was spotted several times in the last few weeks.
The black bear was caught in a trap set up next to a dumpster by the Pennsylvania Game Commission, WPXI reported. That trap was apparently baited with doughnuts and meat.

Officials with the Game Commission told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that the 2-year-old bear was first spotted on Dec. 6 and then seen rummaging through dumpsters in the last week.
The bear twice was able to get the bait without being captured, the Tribune-Review reported. Game officials told the newspaper that it’s very usual for bears to be that close to the city.
The bear was taken to Fayette County to be released, WPXI reported.
