3 girls, including 10-month-old baby, hurt in Michigan drive-by shooting

PONTIAC, Mich. — Three girls, including a 10-month-old baby, are recovering from gunshot wounds after gunfire erupted outside a Michigan home.

According to the Detroit Free Press and WDIV-TV, the drive-by shooting occurred late Saturday on Dudley Avenue in Pontiac. Police said the victims were inside the home with relatives when shots were fired, striking an infant’s buttocks, a 7-year-old girl’s torso and an 11-year-old girl’s hip.

Emergency responders rushed the victims to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening, the news outlets reported.

Authorities said the shots may have been fired from a Chrysler 300 but did not provide any further information about a possible suspect or suspects.
