HUEYTOWN, Ala. — An Arby’s employee in Alabama is out of a job and behind bars after a Saturday afternoon altercation left a customer hospitalized.

According to WVTM-TV, the unidentified Arby’s employee is accused of throwing hot grease on the customer in the drive-thru.

The Hueytown Police Department confirmed via Facebook that officers responded just after 3:15 p.m. local time to the fast-food chain’s River Square Plaza location and found a customer suffering burns, WBRC-TV reported.

Officials with Hueytown Fire and Rescue provided on-scene medical treatment before transporting the victim to an area hospital, police confirmed.

A spokesperson for the restaurant said that the employee was terminated immediately, WVTM-TV reported.

Police confirmed that the employee was taken into custody at the scene, but no charges had been specified by Sunday afternoon.

No other injuries were reported.
