Bassist for Bay City Rollers, Ian Mitchell, dies at 62

Ian Mitchell, the former bassist for the Scottish pop rock band Bay City Rollers has died at 62.

News of his death was announced on social media Monday.

The official Facebook page of the Bay City Rollers asked for people to share there condolences.

Mitchell, who was the first member from Northern Ireland, was 17 years old when he joined the band in 1976. He left the band in the late 1970s and was replaced by Pat McGlynn.
