MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — A crash in Washington State left a bridge closed after a semi-truck hit a car from behind, leaving the car trapped.
The car was folded in half, and the semi-truck was resting on top of the car, KIRO reported.
The crash closed all lanes of Interstate 5 on the bridge over the Skagit River.
The driver of the car had only minor injuries. Police said they were shocked by the severity of the crash.
There’s really not a word to describe this collision. Miraculously believed to be minor injuries. The car was struck from behind, folded the car in half, and semi came to rest on top of the car. In my 14 year career, I have never seen anything like it. https://t.co/iUsSNIhHYV pic.twitter.com/EPGI70s3Um
