The heavens will be providing a holiday gift this week. The Christmas Comet will be passing overhead.
The Christmas Comet is actually known as Comet Leonard, but because of the timing, it has gotten the nickname marking the holiday, according to Skywalk.
It is also considered this year’s best comet, according to EarthSky.
Comet Leonard will probably not be fully seen with the naked eye, Forbes reported, but all you may need for a clear view is a pair of binoculars.
It is also passing by Venus on Friday and Saturday.

The best time to watch for the comet is just after sunset on Friday, before it gets to its closest position to Venus later in the evening.
It will be near the sun at perihelion on Jan. 3 and should brighten as it approaches, according to EarthSky.
