LINCOLN, Neb. — Employees at a Nebraska Family Dollar walked out of work, leaving a sign on the door to let customers know they all quit.
A store manager quit about five days ago, KOLN reported. The last two employees at the store quit on Sunday but not before writing a sign on orange construction paper: “We all quit. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
It’s the latest walkout by employees at a chain business in Lincoln. In July, nine employees at a Burger King wrote on the restaurant’s sign that they quit.

Former Family Dollar employee Breanna Faeller complained of low-wages and long hours at the Lincoln location. She said the store was a revolving door of new hires.
“We got employees hired, they went through the onboarding process, they’d work for us for two days and they’d quit,” Faeller said. “They’d be done so it was just a never-ending cycle of training people and them quitting and we wouldn’t have anybody anymore.”
A sign on Sunday indicated the store would reopen on Monday.
Family Dollar did not comment.
