After several instances of legal issues and troubling behavior, actor Ezra Miller has announced they are in treatment for “complex mental health issues.”
Miller has been charged with burglary in Vermont, Deadline reported.
The non-binary actor who uses they/them pronouns was also seen choking a woman in a Reykjavik bar in a viral video, but they were never charged. Miller has also faced allegations of sexual abuse and second-degree assault charges in separate investigations.
Miller has also had a temporary harassment prevention order issued against them in a case of a pre-teen and a mother who claimed Miller menaced them.
The parents of an 18-year-old also filed a protection order against Miller, saying the entertainer groomed and brainwashed the teen, but the girl in the center of the case has denied the allegations, Deadline reported.
The alleged grooming was said to have happened since the girl was 8 years old, Entertainment Weekly reported.
Variety broke the news of Miller’s mental health treatment.
“Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” Miller says. “I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”

Miller is currently slated to star in “The Flash,” a DC Comics film focusing on the role of Barry Allen/The Flash whom they portrayed in 2017′s “Justice League,” Variety reported. “The Flash” is scheduled to be released into theaters next June, despite Miller’s personal issues that have been making headlines.
There had been rumors of “The Flash” either being released with little promotion or shelved altogether.
But Warner Bros. chief executive David Zaslav said he was “very excited” for the film’s release, BBC News reported.
Miller also starred in the “Harry Potter” spinoff series “Fantastic Beasts,” BBC News reported.
