RINCON, Ga. — A Georgia police department is asking for the public’s help to identify a theft suspect caught on camera walking out of a store with two bouquets on Valentine’s Day.
The incident happened at a grocery store in Effingham County.

The alleged thief, wearing an Atlanta Hawks Trae Young jersey, was captured on the store’s surveillance video carrying not one, but two bouquets of flowers.

Rincon is a small south Georgia town with a population of just under 9,000. But the “bouquet bandit’s” actions seem to have struck a chord on social media.

“This man risked jail for his girl. He did better than all of us,” one person wrote on Facebook.
Others questioned why the man had two bouquets.
“I bet one’s for his Mama. At least he thought about her too,” one Facebook user wrote.
One Facebook user even offered to pay for the flowers, writing that people are having a rough time during the pandemic.
Anyone who recognizes the thief is asked to call the Rincon police department.
