The actor who played Eugene in the 1978 musical film “Grease” has been arrested, accused of trespassing at a nursing home in Maryland.
Eddie Deezen, 65, now lives in Cumberland, Maryland.
Maryland State Police said troopers were called to investigate someone trespassing at the privately-owned nursing home in Allegany County, Maryland.
Police said he was located on the property and had refused to leave when asked to do so around 9:40 p.m. April 8.
A man, who was not identified, told police he had seen Deezen on the same property earlier in the afternoon and told the actor to leave and never come back.
The same man also said he saw Deezen a second time and that is when he called the police.
Troopers said a woman opened a door and Deezen pushed his way inside.
She said that Deezen made “unwanted entry into the residence and almost made it into one of the residence’s rooms before they were able to get him to exit,” troopers said, according to People magazine.
Police said Deezen had left items and notes at the residence, Entertainment Weekly reported.
Fox News reported Deezen is also charged with breaking into the vehicles of his neighbors on April 2.
He is being held without bond at a Cumberland detention center.
While Deezen may be best known as Eugene from “Grease” and “Grease 2,” he is also a voice actor with film and television credits such as “The Polar Express” and “SpongeBob SquarePants,” according to Entertainment Weekly.
Deezen’s arrest was first reported by TMZ.
