Workers at Hobby Lobby are getting an early Christmas present. The company announced it is raising its full-time hourly minimum wage to $18.50.
Employees won’t have to wait long. The raise goes into effect starting Jan. 1, 2022, the company said in a news release.
The company had set a nationwide minimum wage in 2009 and has raised that limit 12 times over 13 years.
In 2014, it raised the minimum wage to $15, and just last year, it increased the amount to $17 an hour, WICS reported.
Hobby Lobby was founded in 1972 and has more than 950 locations.
