FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — There will be no court for this kangaroo.
Authorities responded to a rare call for service Thursday morning — a kangaroo on the loose hopping through a South Florida neighborhood.
Police were able to get a dog leash around the marsupial's neck and safely get it into the back of a patrol car, WSVN reported.
Fort Lauderdale police turned over the kangaroo to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, WPLG reported.
It was taken to the South Florida Wildlife Center, WPTV reported.
Where the kangaroo came from is still unclear.
No one was injured.
