LA Lakers honor Kobe Bryant with jerseys for fans in first game since superstar’s death

LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Lakers are paying tribute to the late Kobe Bryant by giving their fans a way to remember him.

Throughout the arena, Bryant’s #8 and #24 jerseys have blanketed several rows of courtside seats.

The Lakers were scheduled to play against the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night, but the game was postponed after the crash involving Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others.

The team has also set aside two seats for Kobe and his daughter.

Each of the players will also have a special patch on their jerseys to honor their fellow Laker.

The Lakers will hold a pregame ceremony Friday night for Bryant before tip-off against the Portland Trail Blazers and will continue to honor him throughout the game, KABC-TV said.
