According to Minnesota State Patrol, the couple’s 1987 Ford Mustang collided with a moose, sending the large animal crashing through the windshield, KMSP-TV reported.
The crash occurred close to midnight on Highway 53 in Northland Township, about 30 miles northwest of Duluth, KBJR-TV reported.
The 40-year-old driver and his 37-year-old wife were treated at an area hospital for injuries not considered life threatening, and the couple’s two son, ages 7 and 8, were unharmed in the crash, KMSP reported.
It was not immediately clear to what extent the moose was injured in the crash.
